Peer reviewers are at the heart of trustworthy research. Inlight Publisher invites researchers and professionals to review for our journals and help authors improve their work.

Who Can Apply

  • A PhD or master's degree, or equivalent professional experience, in a subject covered by one of our journals
  • At least two peer-reviewed publications in recognised journals
  • Current work in research, teaching or professional practice in the field
  • Good written English

Doctoral students with publications may apply, and may be paired with an experienced reviewer for their first reviews.

What Reviewers Do

  • Accept invitations only for manuscripts within your expertise
  • Assess originality, methods, results, use of literature, ethics and clarity of writing
  • Give constructive, respectful comments that help authors improve their work
  • Recommend Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision or Reject
  • Submit your report within the agreed time, normally 2–3 weeks
  • Keep the manuscript confidential and not use its content for your own work
  • Declare any conflict of interest and decline if you have one
  • Tell the editor if you suspect plagiarism, duplicate publication or data manipulation

Our journals use double-blind peer review: you will not know who the authors are, and they will not know who you are.

Recognition

  • A certificate of reviewing for each completed review, on request
  • Recognition of your reviews on ORCID or Web of Science Reviewer Recognition, where you choose
  • Annual acknowledgement of reviewers in the journal (names only, with consent)
  • Consideration for editorial board positions after sustained, high-quality reviewing
